This is an Oil Temperature gauge type A-24. This particular gauge does not have any operating zones marked, as on many of the others. The glass is very clean, and almost no chips are evident anywhere on the instrument. The largest tarnish is visible on the right hand side, where two small chips have come off.
This instrument is marked as 42-070311. It was removed from a Consolidated B-24J-60-CO Liberator, likely after the war ended. There is no information available for the specific aircraft the instrument would have been installed on.
